Double Happiness Projects (DHP) is pleased to announce the upcoming end of the year exhibition by emerging artist Noelle Feodora Mok entitled "Banquet of the Black-Haired Maiden."

In the "Banquet of the Black-Haired Maiden", Mok explores her struggles in affirming her multi-faceted identities as a second generation Chinese Canadian through a series of highly rendered oil paintings and a collection of reclaimed fine china plates as part of the DHP's accessible EDITIONS Project.

Mok utilizes elements from both her generation’s upbringing during the era of social media, buzz food trends, diaspora and multiculturalism; along with the ubiquitous elements of her ancestral past with fine china, blue willow pattern, Chinese ink wash paintings and culinary iconographies.
